I just want to say a huge thank you for all your supported and generosity that helped make our golf day in aid of Niamh’s Next Step charity such a success. The weather was again kind for us again and I was so pleased to see so many people enjoying the event.
I hope you will all agree the best bit of the whole day was that we raised a substantial amount for our chosen charity. The golf day raised £5524 and other donations to the charity this year mean we have raised an amazing £6424 for Niamh’s Next Step charity.
Chris Curry from Niamh’s Next Step Charity along with Alex Waller, (former Northampton Saints player, who was part of two Championship winning sides) who as Patron for the charity kindly presented the prizes at the end of the day.
Nearest the pin 4th hole – Rachel Gedney
Longest ladies drive – Helen Constantinou
Longest men’s drive – Alex Twiggs (for the second year running!)
Three people managed to beat the Pro. on the 11th hole and thanks to all of those that didn’t, as we raised £155 from this.
A special thanks to my team at Anstee & Co., especially Jane, for all their hard work, as most of you know these events don’t just happen. The expert planning behind it ensures a fantastically organised day.
To my sister and brother in law who come to help each year along with my friend Lorna who gave support on the day, it is much appreciated.
Wellingborough Golf Club for allowing us to host the event– the greenkeepers do a fantastic job and the course was in wonderful condition. The starters and the Pro, plus of course the catering team and ladies in the tea hut!
Thank you once again everyone, I hope to see you all next year. We have booked Wellingborough Golf Club again for:
Thursday 2nd October 2025 – I hope to see you there!
The event is open to all golfers so please book in via our Kettering Office.
