Free Inheritance Tax Webinar
Former Labour Chancellor Roy Jenkins famously described Inheritance Tax as-
“A voluntary levy paid by those who distrust their heirs more than they dislike the Inland Revenue”.
Most people think it’s when they are ‘old’ but the truth is, it’s whenever you have over £1 million of assets as a married couple with direct descendants (£650,000 with none), or £500,000 as a single person (not widow/widower) with direct dependents (£325,000 with none) and with the price of Property, it’s not as difficult as it once was to amass that kind of figure. If you leave it too late before addressing the issue, some avenues will be closed to you.
But why are there so many different figures? Why does it matter if you’re married or have children? What can you do about it?
To find out the answers to your questions, join me, Rachel Efetha, with Rosie Wright – Brixworth Wills and Kim Parry – CFW Chartered Accountants on 12th October at 5.30 pm for a free webinar on the basics.
