The awards aim to celebrate and recognise the achievements of women in investment and are vital in helping accelerate the pace of change towards a more diverse and inclusive investment industry. They are run by Investment Week, a long-running publication in the profession.
There are 25 Awards in total, and they received 1,391 nominations. The nominees were asked to complete a questionnaire giving details about their careers, recent achievements, mentoring and a testimonial. The submissions were then considered by the 41 judges and the finalists were announced earlier this week.
“It is an honour to find out that I’m a finalist in these awards. It hasn’t always been easy working in such a male-dominated profession but at Anstee & Co we outnumber the men, and with a woman like Caroline in charge, I know that I’m well supported in my dual roles of Chartered Financial Designer and Mum”.
The judges considered outstanding achievements in a role, particularly in the last 12 months; challenges faced and how they were tackled; evidence of contributions to support and inspire women and improve diversity & inclusion within the sector as well as undertaking third party research.
The nomination of “Wealth Manager of the Year”, is the result of all the hard work that Rachal has put in over her professional career. Rachel is a people person and linking this with her technical knowledge, her client outcomes are always excellent. This is reflected by the excellent client feedback I receive about her.
