community workSecret Santa goes to the Daylight Centre in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

No office “Secret Santa” this year. Instead, it was agreed that we would all help the homeless at the Daylight centre in Wellingborough. This is all part of our community programme

The money that we would have spent on often funny ( some would say), but unwanted presents to each other has gone instead to buying groceries, small domestic appliances and clothes for the homeless.

Services offered by the Daylight Centre

The key service is a drop-in centre for homeless people and other vulnerable adults. Where appropriate they will make referrals to emergency services and longer-term housing agencies.  Additionally, they offer pre-tenancy, resettlement and tenancy sustainment support.  Help is also provided around life skills, meaningful occupation and employment.

The charity also offers-

  • Showers.
  • A clothing store.

  • Access to phones, computers and the internet.
