Barnes has been working in the financial services industry for some time and has joined us from Mattioli Woods, after previously working for Greyfriars Asset Management
After leaving Guilsborough Academy in Northamptonshire he obtained a Business Studies degree from Leeds Beckett University in 2013. After a further period of study, Barnes completed the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, November 2018.
A keen football player, he is named after John Barnes the Liverpool and England footballer. He currently plays in the United Counties League for Lutterworth Athletic. Additionally, he has been a Liverpool season ticket holder for over 20 years and went to the famous 2005 Champions League Final.
Barnes lives in Market Harborough with his girlfriend and when not playing and watching football they enjoy music festivals, particularly Glastonbury.
