Tariff Turmoil.

There isn’t much to say about recent global events except that by the time you read this, circumstances may have changed. One thing the markets dislike is uncertainty, and we are currently facing a significant amount of it. All investment managers are working to see through the noise, monitoring trade developments, market movements, and government responses. As always, diversification remains key. While not heavily covered in the news, some asset classes have shown impressive resilience in the current market conditions.

The New Tax Year.

We have entered a new tax year, which means a lot of financial planning is required. The increase in the state pension is positive news; however, it is presenting some challenges for personal pensions. In the next article titled “Pensioners Beware,” I will discuss this in more detail. Next month, I will provide a more comprehensive piece on pensions and the actions to consider following the changes announced in the last budget.
