West Side Story tells the story of a modern day Romeo & Juliet set in New York City.
Sam, is in the brass section, on trumpet, playing the scores by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim. The hits include the classics,” Tonight”, “Maria” to name just a few.
Sam Williams, trainee paraplanner and trumpet player said:-
“My favourite tune is ‘Dance at the Gym’ which includes Blues and Mambo sections. It’s my favourite as it heavily features the trumpet (really high notes too!) so enjoy having the limelight.”
The shows run through the schools half term and are on every evening from 23rd – 27th (7:30 pm start) October with a matinee on the 27th (2:30 pm start).
